A Home that Fits network made a suggestion to The Dundee Design Challenge. Dundee wanted designers and developers to send a breakdown of an idea that can help people who are homeless or in danger of becoming so. Deadline was on 28th of November.
We are a versatile Helsinki/London based group of professionals who aim to tackle the wicked problem of homelessness from a multidisciplinary point of view to achieve the best solution.
There are five members in our team.
M.Soc.Sc. Vilja Kamppila is a researcher specialised in urban issues. She has worked in multidisciplinary research projects with some of the most renowned Finnish scholars of the field, on topics ranging from housing policy and urban segregation to the use of service design in city administration.
Minsu Kuusisto is a creative designer (Master of Arts in graphic design) Her strengths are user-centered design, service design methodology and creating creative concepts.
Jyri Rasinmäki is a designer of digital services and owns a software company called Intraktio which designs and creates digital services with the help of AI and human skillset.
Miki Mielonen (Master of Humanities) is a project manager in the youth homelessness project A Home that Fits, and Martta Pirttioja, a master level student in Geography and Urban planning, is also working in the project.
